HOUE RE-CLIPS Lounge Armchair with Footstool

A stylish Re-Clips lounge chair and footstool set from Danish brand HOUE. Available in 4 monochrome colours: black, dark grey, olive green and sky blue this is a seating collection featuring wide plastic lamellas clipped on a light powder coated aluminium frame. The armchairs come with the choice of armrests in bamboo or aluminium. 

The lamellas are made from Danish household plastic trash (97% household plastic trash + 3% colour pigments and UV protection) and produced in Denmark. The technology behind re-using plastic household trash for furniture production is developed in Denmark.

If possible, this outdoor furniture should be stored in a dry place during the winter to protect it from the elements. We do not recommend covering the furniture, since the lack of breathability might accumulate condensation on the furniture.

Developing Re-Clips, HOUE was determined that the right steps were taken in creating a responsible collection of chairs. By using household plastic trash instead of virgin – or recycled industrial plastic, it is not only the recycling of plastic and the use of trash that is beneficial – there are also significant savings on the amount of energy used in production.

When creating products from household plastic trash, we worked from a systematic perspective, taking into account how things are always connected. Consequently, we base our decisions on facts and thorough documentation.
