Jørgen Bækmark's furniture exudes unique harmony, exemplified by his classic dining chairs J80. This wooden version includes a seat woven with paper cord. This material is also known as Danish paper cord. Long stripes of flat papers are twisted to form a rope and then are set into coils. It is a natural and sustainable product that last a long time due to its inherent resistance.

J80 chair was first launched in 1962 and to this day is a very stylish choice not only for dining at home, but it's also a great addition to commercial settings, such as cafes, bistros and restaurants.

WOOD FINISH

As well as the lacquered or oiled solid oak finish, chair frame also comes in painted or soap treated solid beech finish:

Lacquered or oiled solid oak finish: lacquered (water based varnish, UV protective, easy to clean and maintain) or oiled (matt protective layer that does not peel or crack and allows wood to breathe; minor damages can be sanded and re-oiled with this surface treatment; oil also brings out the natural colour of the wood).

Painted or soap treated solid beech finish: the paint or soap treatment adds a protective layer, increasing the furniture's resistance to wear and tear, scratches, and stains. Both painted and soap-treated finishes allow the natural grain and texture of the wood to show through, preserving the beauty and character of the beech wood.
